SIWE Academy Camp: Rules & Essentials Guide

Welcome to the SIWE Academy sisterhood. This camp is a space for growth, learning, and building our professional network. To ensure everyone has a safe, comfortable, and productive experience, please review the following rules and requirements.

Camp Protocols & Behavior

  • Professional Conduct: Vulgar language is strictly prohibited. We are building a professional network; please treat all participants with respect, embracing our diverse cultures to grow and learn together.
  • Language: English is the official language of instruction and must be used during all sessions.
  • Substance Policy: Absolutely no alcohol or drugs are permitted on the bus or the campsite.
  • Punctuality: Time is our most valuable asset. Please adhere strictly to the weekly timetable for all meals and sessions.
  • Media & Photography:
  • During Sessions: No capturing of media is permitted. We will handle official documentation.
  • Outside Sessions: You are free to capture and upload moments from the trip there and back, as well as leisure time on-site.
  • Sharing: Use the hashtag #SIWE2026 or tag @SupremeGirlsInternational.
  • Safety & Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your personal belongings. All dormitory doors are equipped with keys for your security.

Hygiene & Maintenance

  • Living Quarters: Rooms must be tidied and swept daily by roommates.
  • Sanitation: Toilets must be flushed and sprayed after every use.
  • Disposal: We provide extra baggies for the hygienic disposal of personal items (pads and tampons). Please use these appropriately.
  • Water Safety: Strictly no swimming or wading in the river/stream. Drink only the designated water provided on the campsite.

Packing List & Requirements

Health & Grooming

  • Medication: Bring your own supply of chronic medication or mild relief for pain, fever, or flu. Strictly no sharing of medication.
  • Personal Care: Personal toiletries and cosmetics.
  • Grooming: A small mirror for each participant.
  • Hair: Hair scarf or doek.

It is cold this time of year; please pack accordingly:

  • Warmth: Long-sleeve tops, jackets, beanie hats, and gloves.
  • Bottoms: Tracksuits, jeans, and long skirts (must be worn with leggings for warmth). Pack enough underwear and extra leggings.

  • Snacks: We will have snacks during certian sessions but you are welcome to pack your own preferred snacks, fruit or juices for personal consumption.
